Fifth Day Lunch – hear the new AFL CEO
The new Chief Executive Officer of the AFL, Andrew Dillon, is making his way down to Ormond/ McKinnon for our 1st Fifth Day Lunch for 2023. Dillon was announced as Gillon McLachlan’s successor on Monday 1 May, and one of his first public appearances as the CEO in-waiting will be at the upcoming Ormond AFC Lunch.

Dillon has a strong association with the VAFA having played 290 games for Old Xaverians (1989 – 2005), including 6 consecutive premierships between 1995 and 2000. He is a also a two-time Big V representative player. In 2000, Dillon commenced his more than 20 year career with the AFL as its legal counsel. After serving in a variety of positions since this time, he was Executive General Manager Football Operations, Legal & Integrity at the time of his appointment as AFL CEO.
