President’s Lunch – Women of Ormond
The upcoming President’s Lunch is one for the Ladies of Ormond to gather and enjoy each other’s company – but men are invited too!
Guest speaker is a great friend of the Ormond footy club – Councillor Margaret Esakoff. Cr Esakoff has been a Rosstown Ward councillor (the Ward in which EE Gunn Reserve is located) for more than 20 years and has been a long-time supporter of the Club and regular attendee at Lunches. She has been Mayor of the City of Glen Eira on 5 occasions. Cr Esakoff will share her story on what motivated a working mother to enter local politics and then to remain there 20 years later, and reflect on her achievements and the challenges of local politics.
During the Lunch, all grandmothers, mums, aunts and sisters of Reserves and Senior players will have the opportunity to venture downstairs to meet up with their ‘favourite’ player/s in the change rooms for a few short moments. A great experience if you haven’t been inside the change rooms on match day before!
The Lunch is on Saturday 13 May in the social room at EE Gunn Reserve, and all guests will enjoy a complimentary glass of bubbles on arrival (or other drink of choice), and a delicious two course meal. For more information, click here.
